  • Ancient Egypt, the symbol of the Old Kingdom often flanked on either side with a uraeus
  • In early Egyptian religion, the symbol Behedeti represented Horus of Edfu, later identified with Ra-Harachte.
  • Sometimes depicted on the neck of Apis, the bull of Ptah.
